Jaylen Brown has been doing it all for the Boston Celtics of late. The 24-year-old came out firing to start the season, and he hasn't looked back since. So much so, that future Hall of Famer Vince Carter believes that Brown is currently the frontrunner for this season's Most Improved Player award.

According to the NBA legend, Brown is playing at such an elite level that he's not only emerged as one of Boston's most important players, but that his further development from last season has earned him the right to be in the conversation for the Most Improved Player trophy this term:

“I definitely think he's tops for most improved,” Carter said Monday on ESPN show The Jump (h/t Nick Goss of NBC Sports Boston). “You could see at the end of last year, the way he was playing and the confidence that he was playing with. That lets you know going into this year he was going to play with a lot of confidence, and he hit the ground running from the beginning of the season.

“I think they're 1A and 1B when you talk about the best players and most important players on the Celtics. When he goes and when (Jayson) Tatum goes, their team goes. And then you add Kemba Walker. I think right now, most improved and an All-Star level he's playing at right now. Look out for Jaylen Brown because the Celtics have a great opportunity to come out of the East because they play on both ends extremely hard.”

In 11 games played so far this season, Brown has been putting up some very impressive numbers. He is currently averaging a career-best 27.3 points (on 52.8 percent shooting), 5.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists (career-high), and 1.5 steals (career-high), while also connecting on 2.6 triples per game (career-high) on a 43.8 percent clip.

More importantly, Brown has led the Celtics to a 10-6 record, as they currently sit at the second spot in the Eastern Conference.

Carter knows a thing or two about finding success in the NBA, so he is definitely someone we should listen to when he sends this much praise towards one particular player's direction.
