The Boston Celtics continue their efforts to move up in the 2020 NBA Draft. According to a report from Marc Stein of The New York Times, the Celtics are trying to get into the top three.

As it stands now, Boston has three first-round picks (14th, 26th and 30th).

It's not clear what sort of package the Celtics would have to offer in such a move. The Atlanta Hawks are said to have interest in sharpshooter Gordon Hayward. The Hawks have the No. 6 pick in this draft and a stable of young wings in Kevin Huerter, De'Andre Hunter and Cam Reddish.

It's worth noting that Hayward has a player option for the 2020-21 season worth $34.2 million. He had a Nov. 17 deadline to decide his course of action, but both sides have agreed to push the deadline back to Nov. 19. Still, to move into the top three, it would seem the Celtics would need to give up more than just Hayward.

The Celtics are coming off a nice run in the playoffs, though they were ultimately sent home in the Eastern Conference Finals. Without a doubt, they'll be looking to build off of this momentum in the coming season.

The 2020 NBA Draft will start at 8:00 p.m. ET, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage. Let's see if the Celtics find a way to move into the top three.
