The Boston Celtics made some noise yesterday signing free agent big man Greg Monroe to a one-year, $5 million deal. With the trade deadline less than a week away now, Boston is by no means done looking for ways to improve its roster.

Two players that the Celtics are reportedly still in pursuit of are Lou Williams of the L.A. Clippers and Tyreke Evans of the Memphis Grizzlies.

According to two Western Conference sources, the Celts are still in pursuit of Lou Williams and Tyreke Evans. They have had discussions regarding others, but those two appear to be the main targets as the C’s look to add scoring off the bench.

The Clippers shocked many around the NBA world pulling off a trade that sent Blake Griffin to the Detroit Pistons on Monday. That move made it clear that the Clips were hitting the reset button and players like Williams and DeAndre Jordan could be next to leave L.A.

The Grizzlies have also been open about their intentions to move Evans, hoping that they can receive a first-round pick in return from someone.

Both Williams and Evans would provide some pop for the Celtics' bench. Williams was a near All-Star as the Clippers' potent sixth man this season, posting averages of 23.5 points and 5.2 assists per night, both of which are significant career highs for the 31-year-old. Evans is also having an under the radar solid campaign, averaging 19.5 points, 5.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds in what has been his most efficient season since his rookie year.
