Fresh off of their heartbreaking NBA Finals defeat to the Golden State Warriors, the Boston Celtics are reportedly looking to be active in Thursday's 2022 NBA Draft. The Celtics currently have just one pick in the draft (No. 53 in the second round), and it looks like they're interested in making a splash in the first round.

According to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report, the Celtics are one of a few teams that are looking to acquire a pick in the latter part of the first round:

Indiana, Utah, Boston and Detroit have all been described as teams looking to acquire picks in the back half of the first round.

To do so, the Celtics appear willing to engage in conversations on rotation players like Grant Williams and Payton Pritchard, but only for the right price.

A guy like Grant Williams or Payton Pritchard should be enough to get the Celtics what they want. They are just 23 and 24, respectively, and the fact that both of them now have a wealth of playoff experience under their belts makes them relatively valuable assets for Boston, and, potentially, a key addition to an opposing team that could be willing to part ways with a late first-round pick.
