The isolated nature of the NBA “bubble” in Orlando is forcing players to be creative in terms of how they spend free time. For the Boston Celtics, that means channeling the inner-Michael Phelps. Celtics big man Enes Kanter and Marcus Smart headed to the pool to race in a spectacle which was filled with trash talk from the start.

Smart claimed he had the upper hand over Kanter in “anything we do,” while Kanter said Smart did not want to get his hair wet because he is “too pretty.” This time, Smart could not back up his talk.

Kanter narrowly edged Smart in a photo finish.

Celtics fans can rest assured this level of competition will be present when Boston begins its eight-game slate against the Milwaukee Bucks on July 31.

The Celtics currently hold the No. 3 seed in the Eastern Conference, with 3.5 games in hand over the fourth-seeded Miami Heat. Boston is also three games back of the Toronto Raptors for the No. 2 spot.
