Jaylen Brown recently made a trip to South East Asia, visiting Indonesia in particular where he seemed to have quite a time of his life. The Boston Celtics forward did a number of activities while in the archipelagic nation, including learning a lesson or two about martial arts.

Brown does not really need to infuse his basketball skills with knowledge on how to physically hurt people, but he’s probably going to find some martial arts know-how useful in case he gets attacked on the streets – or when either Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green or Utah Jazz rookie shooting guard Grayson Allen tries to inadvertently hit him on the court.

Jaylen Brown also flashed some of his athletic skills on the diamond. Here he is hitting a ball into the outfield with a passable swing for a non-baseball player.

Unfortunately, the Boston Red Sox are loaded with hard-hitters right now that there’s not going to be a slot open for Brown to join the team any time soon.

In Indonesia, Brown also learned that there are fans who can literally lose their senses over the sight of an NBA star.

Indonesia isn’t a basketball country, and it’s not often it gets visited by people from the NBA. Nevertheless, the sport is growing in popularity there. In fact, Indonesia is one of the three countries scheduled to host the FIBA World Cup in 2023. Who knows, Brown could be part of the USA team that will play there five years from now. In any case, Brown can say that he’s already balled in Bali.
