While his overall performance may not have been of the same nature of his 30-point effort against the defending champs, the Golden State Warriors, on Tuesday, Boston Celtics wing Gordon Hayward had another memorable evening on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings.

Hayward beat the Kings with a baseline jumper with just two seconds left on the game clock and was justly rewarded by his teammates for his heroics via a traditional Gatorade shower.

Hayward was so focused on the post-game interview that he did not see this one coming. Fortunately for him, it was a lackluster effort by his teammates, who were equipped with half-empty Gatorade paper cups, as opposed to the more familiar gallon jugs. It's the thought that counts, I guess?

Hayward notched only 12 points in this one on 6-of-10 shooting. While he did also add on three rebounds, five assists, and a steal in 29 minutes off the Celtics bench, there is no doubt that his biggest contribution on the evening was his winning deuce.

That's now two momentum-swinging wins for the Celtics, following their 33-point demolition job of the Warriors on Tuesday. Boston appears to have turned a corner, and it could not have come at a more perfect time with the playoffs just a little over a month away.

The Celtics are now 40-26, and are closing in on the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference. At the moment, they are just a game and a half behind the fourth-seeded Philadelphia 76ers.
