Throughout his pro career, DeMarcus Cousins has shown that he has one of the most volatile temperaments in the whole of the NBA. He has received fines and even suspensions for his outbursts and he is not the best person to taunt during games. However, Jaylen Brown did just that on Tuesday night during the Boston Celtics and New Orleans Pelicans game.

After attacking Cousins’ defense, the 21-year-old California product knocked down a heavily-contested layup. Brown then sent a message to the All-Star big man that he is difficult to stop by flexing his muscles in front of Cousins.

To the Pelicans center's credit, he did not respond violently and still kept his composure by shaking his head and only uttering a few words to Jaylen Brown instead.

By restraining himself, Cousins was able to finish the game and contribute to his team's cause in the end game. He understands his importance to the Pelicans and knows that his presence is crucial for them if they want to make it to the playoffs this season.

Despite being taunted, Cousins had the last laugh on the night as his team came out with the road victory in overtime, 116-113. The 27-year-old Kentucky product had another huge game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, five assists, and three steals.

More importantly, Cousins is proving to the New Orleans faithful that he is continuing to mature and learning how to control his emotions, as he does not want to be issued more technical fouls and be forced to sit out games in the future when there's more on the line.
