If there is one play that encapsulates the Golden State Warriors' defensive display against the Boston Celtics, it's the third quarter sequence where Jayson Tatum was left open in the painted area for the easy dunk.

The Warriors had, perhaps, their worst performance of the season, and they never really got it going after a poor start that saw the Celtics open the game with an 11-0 run. The Dubs eventually found themselves trailing the Beantown team by 25 points at halftime.

Instead of buckling up defensively in the second half, however, the Dubs still lacked defensive awareness. They were so poor defensively throughout that Tatum was left unguarded right in the opening minutes of the penultimate period.

Boston ended up scoring 128 points, with a 33-point margin of victory over the reigning NBA champions.

The Warriors' overall performance was certainly laughable, and Jayson Tatum's wide-open dunk is just one play that highlights how much the home team was sleeping on the defensive end.

Tatum finished the game with 17 points, five rebounds, three steals and a couple of blocks. Kyrie Irving, on the other hand, led all scorers with 19 points while also dishing out a game-high 11 assists.

Only Stephen Curry made more than 20 points for Golden State, with the sharpshooter making 23. Kevin Durant had 18 markers, albeit on 5-of-16 shooting.
