Jayson Tatum's breakout rookie season with the Boston Celtics catapulted him to the forefront of the NBA. Now he's starring in his own Foot Locker commercial where he “unearths” a package containing a new pair of kicks.

The video is a blast from the past, from everything to the music to the VHS tape that comes with the sneakers. While the commercial is centered around the past, Tatum is the future of the Celtics organization.

Tatum, 20, is looking to build off his incredible rookie season. The former Duke Blue Devil averaged 13.9 points and 5.0 rebounds per game during the regular season, but he really came into his own in the playoffs. Tatum averaged 18.5 points per game in the postseason for the short-handed Celtics.

The third overall pick in the 2017 draft helped bring his team to the seventh game of the Eastern Conference Finals. Tatum's defining moment came in the fourth quarter of that game when he posterized LeBron James and followed it up with a chest bump right in The King's face.

Although James would get the last laugh and advance to the NBA Finals, Tatum let the world know he's here to stay.

The hopes in Boston are sky high entering next season. Tatum is joined by Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward as they return from injuries that kept them out of the playoff run last season. The roster is rounded out by Al Horford, Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart, Marcus Morris and Terry Rozier.

The sky is the limit for Tatum in Boston.
