Boston Celtics guard Marcus Smart isn't known for his shooting abilities. In fact, he is often considered someone who is valuable because of what he can do outside of scoring.

That said, it doesn't mean he can't pull something out of his bag of tricks every now and then.

Marcus Smart is shooting barely 30 percent from 3-point range in his career. However, the 25-year-old has been much improved this year. He's hitting 36.4 percent of his threes and shooting 41.1 percent from the field.

Of course, a warm-up shot is completely different than in-game shots — it's why a lot of players tend to take some ridiculous attempts in that part of their night at the office.

Steph Curry, of course, is very famous for his trick shots. LeBron James is known to take some as well. Before those two, let's not forget about a trailblazer in the warm-up trick shot game: Monta Ellis.

Smart and the Boston Celtics took on the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday night. It was good to see Smart having fun; in recent weeks, a lot of people were wondering if the Celtics were imploding from within.

However, the ability to string together consecutive victories (including a blowout win over the Golden State Warriors) has put them back on track.

Despite all this “implosion” talk, the Celtics have a chance to win 50 games this season. They're in fifth place in the Eastern Conference and close to third, as they try to chase down both the Philadelphia 76ers and Indiana Pacers.

At the same time, they're more than six games ahead of the sixth-place Detroit Pistons.

If the Celtics can get on a roll again, they could become a very scary team at playoff time. There's a reason everyone was predicting them to be the top team in the East.

At least we know Marcus Smart is staying loose… and hitting some pretty ridiculous shots as well.
