Memphis Grizzlies new acquisition Chandler Parsons‘ long-awaited season debut against the Portland Trail Blazers was a bit of a disappointment.

During his 22 minutes of play, the 6-foot-10 forward went scoreless, going 0-of-8 from the floor and 0-of-3 from downtown, snatching three rebounds, and a block. The Blazers (4-3) took a 100-94 victory against the Grizzlies (3-4).

Memphis will be careful with Parsons and bring him along slowly, he should benefit from having a strong low-post presence in Marc Gasol and a willing passer in floor general Mike Conley Jr.

Here's to hoping the 28-year-old isn't mired in a slump as bad as the one Jamal Murray recently broke out of. He'll have a chance to get on the scoreboard on Tuesday against the Denver Nuggets.
