Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn just dropped a ‘rona bomb.

In case you missed it, HBO'a annual football docu-series “Hard Knocks” premiered on Tuesday night. And for the first-time ever in its history, the series features not one but two teams this season, the Los Angeles Raiders and Chargers.

However, in an unprecedented move, the fourth year coach for the Chargers announced to his team, on camera, that he actually tested positive of COVID-19.

“This year is not like any year we’ve ever had in the National Football League. This is going to be chaos. This is going to be change. It’s going to come at us every single day,” Anthony Lynn said on a video call with his Chargers players, per Yahoo Sports. “The goals and objectives will not change. I can’t promise you you’re not going to get infected. I got infected.”

It was clearly the first time that Lynn broke the news to his players, as he had them all shocked. Just look at two-time Pro Bowler Joey Bosa's epic reaction:

“I’ve talked to people who say they’re sick of this virus,” the Chargers coach continued. “What the hell is that supposed to mean? Let me tell you something — you ain’t promised next year. You ain’t promised tomorrow. What I want to do is, I want to limit your exposure. Then, when the whistle blows, let’s go kick somebody’s ass, and let’s play football.”

To date, Lynn is the third coach in the NFL to test positive of the coronavirus, with New Orleans Saints head coach Sean Payton and Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson also getting infected. Fortunately, Lynn looked in high spirits throughout the episode.

If this is a sign of things to come in this season's edition of “Hard Knocks,” then fans are surely in for a treat.
