Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn had a good explanation for going for the two-point conversion in Thursday night's 29-28 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Lynn's team scored an incredible come-from-behind win at Arrowhead Stadium after trailing by two touchdowns with less than four minutes remaining, which helped the Chargers clinch a playoff berth while snapping their nine-game losing streak to the Chiefs.

What allowed Los Angeles to pick up the victory was the two-point conversion with four seconds left, and it was a gutsy decision that paid off in a big way for Lynn.

Here's what he had to say about choosing to go for the win, courtesy of Gilbert Manzano of the Orange County Register:

Anthony Lynn: “I had a lot of confidence in the players. We were going to go for 2 the whole time at the end of that game because I believe in these guys.”

Clearly, the decision wasn't all that tough for Lynn, and what stands out most is his complete confidence in his offense even with running backs Melvin Gordon and Austin Ekeler sidelined due to injury.

But the Chargers were able to stay in the AFC West title race due to the composure from Philip Rivers, who rebounded from a couple of interceptions to put Los Angeles in the position to win the game.

Next up for the Chargers is a showdown with the Baltimore Ravens before finishing the regular season on the road against the Denver Broncos.
