Los Angeles Chargers tight end Hunter Henry missed the entire 2018 campaign while recovering from a torn ACL he suffered last May, but now, Henry seems like he is ready to go:

“I'm pretty much full-go,” said Henry, according to Ricky Henne of the Chargers' official team website. “Everything feels good. It still gets sore every once in a while, but it's nothing too bad. It's nothing that's crazy. It's just a workout soreness.”

Henry had been developing into one of the better tight ends in the NFL over his first two years in the league, so the fact that he sustained such a severe injury heading into what could have been a breakout season had to be discouraging.

However, the 24-year-old says he is feeling great:

“I'm feeling good,” he said. “I'm just still trying to get strong and make sure everything is good. I'm excited. (My knee) is feeling really good … It's been a long process. This thing is crazy how long it takes. I'm just excited to get back out with the guys and get going.”

Hunter, who played his collegiate football at the University of Arkansas, was originally selected by the Chargers in the second round (35th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He had a solid rookie season, catching 36 passes for 478 yards and eight touchdowns. Then, the following year, Henry hauled in 45 receptions for 579 yards and four scores.

Los Angeles is coming off of a season in which it won 12 games and ultimately lost to the New England Patriots in the Divisional Round of the playoffs.
