Los Angeles Chargers fans who longed to see Hunter Henry play once again can finally end their long wait. It's been confirmed by multiple sources that the tight end is expected to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

This is going to be the first time Henry will see NFL action since getting injured in Week 1. Adam Schefter confirmed his inclusion to the team through his Twitter profile.

His tibia plateau sustained a fracture during the team's Week 1 victory over the Indiana Colts. He only managed four catches for 60 yards before being carted off the field.

The team was especially careful about bringing him back to the team. Anthony Lynn was hesitant on bringing him back prematurely due to fears of reinjuring his knee. However, he has since joined team practices, albeit only at a limited scale on Wednesday. The team liked what they saw from the tight end in practice that they decided to bring him back for Week6.

There's no better time for him to play again, though. The team is currently on a horrible run of form with their 2-3 record. Their most recent defeat was against the struggling Denver Broncos. There has been finger-pointing for the team's mediocre start, but they've got to put it all behind them and focus against the Steelers.

While Henry hasn't been the healthiest over the past two years, he's shown glimpses of quality whenever he's healthy. During the 2017 campaign, he notched 579 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 45 catches.

He'll be a key player to help reboot the Chargers offense, and fans hope he can make a difference immediately.
