Henry, 25, views the one-year contract with the Chargers as a prove-it deal because of his injury history. He has been riddled with injuries his whole career and hasn't played a full season in his four-year career. He missed the entirety of the 2018 regular season and four games last season because of nagging knee injuries.
Henry broke out and set career highs with 55 receptions and 652 receiving yards last season. According to Pro Football Focus, Henry has the best passer rating among tight ends when targeted at 132.3 since 2016.
The four-year veteran will be a key cog for the rebuilding Chargers if he manages to stay healthy and be consistent in the upcoming season.
