Teams around the NFL could be playing without fans in 2020 due to COVID-19 and that could be seen as an advantage for the Los Angeles Chargers. During an appearance on Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take podcast, Hunter Henry made a positive spin on the absence of NFL fans at games this season.

Of course, with no fans being allowed at games, some teams won't have the home-field advantage they are accustomed to. However, for the Chargers in recent years, they've been notorious for having a lack of support at home games. Provided that, Henry jokingly said Los Angeles can use that to their advantage in 2020.

Earlier this offseason, the Chargers used their franchise tag on Henry to keep him with the team this season. As a result of receiving the franchise tag, Henry will be the highest-paid tight end in the NFL in 2020. The former second-round pick is set to make $10.6 million with Los Angeles in the upcoming season.

Last season, Henry was able to put together the best year in his career with the Chargers. Henry finished the 2019 campaign with a career-best 55 receptions for 652 yards and five touchdowns. Despite his impressive showing last year, injuries are still a concern for the Arkansas product.

When teams play against the Chargers, they typically have more fans show up on the road than Los Angeles has at home. Even though the Chargers are moving to SoFi Stadium with the Los Angeles Rams, it's tough to believe their home-game struggles cease to exist.

And with the coronavirus pandemic still a concern, fans likely won't be present for most — if not all — NFL games in 2020. While some may view that as a negative for the upcoming season, Henry believes the Chargers are already customary to no fans in attendance.
