With the Los Angeles Chargers suffering another defeat on Sunday, defensive end Joey Bosa was in understandably foul mood in a recent interview. The 25-year-old did not hold back with his criticism, as he unleashed a tirade against L.A.'s lackluster performances in the defensive end.

The Chargers are one of the lowest-ranked teams in the entire NFL in terms of takeaways, and for Bosa, this is simply unacceptable:

“When you are presented opportunities, I have said this five times, I’m not asking you to do a cartwheel and then backflip it and pick it off between your legs with one arm then moonwalk into the end zone or some s–t,” a clearly disgruntled Bosa said, via Fernando Ramirez of SI.com (h/t Josh Alper of NBC Sports). If the ball is thrown at you, you have to make plays.”

The rant did not stop there. Bosa went on to say that while he is no intention of singling out one or two individuals, he is more than willing to call out his team's entire defense:

“I am not pointing fingers, but, if you want to win and be a great team, you got to call it out and you got to tell it how it is.” he added.

I guess this is some form of self-criticism as well, considering how Bosa himself has been part of what has been a terrible defensive unit for the 2-7 Chargers.

Los Angeles will be back in action on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills, and this could present itself as an opportunity for Bosa and Co. to show at least some improvements on the defensive end.
