Joey Bosa and the Los Angeles Chargers scored a big 28-14 win on Monday over the previously undefeated Las Vegas Raiders. The sweet taste of victory, however, did not stop Bosa from going off on the officials who handled the game.

After the game, Bosa let everyone hear how frustrated he was, particularly of the unsportsmanlike conduct called on him by the officials that resulted in a 15-yard penalty for the Chargers. The flag was triggered by Bosa jawing at the referees for what he believes was a missed holding call late in the fourth quarter when the Raiders were trying to mount a comeback.

Via Shelley Smith of ESPN:

“I didn't even know they called the f—ing penalty on me because I was fuming,” Bosa said while answering a question about the unsportsmanlike conduct penalty he received after he complained about the missed call. “But, I mean, refs are blind, simple. I'm sorry, but you're blind, like open your eyes and do your job. It's so bad it's unbelievable.”

“Fifteen yards, it's a big deal,” Bosa said. “Obviously that's on me. I should never lose my temper like that, but these guys have got to do a better job because it's been years of terrible missed calls left and right. It's really pathetic, honestly, but pathetic on me too for doing what I did. Call or not I have to take a step back and just go to the next play, but, man, they seem not to have their eyes open half the time.”

Fortunately for Bosa and the Chargers, that penalty did not have any serious negative impact on them, as they still came away with a resounding victory that put them on top of the AFC West division with identical 3-1 records with the Raiders and the Denver Broncos.
