Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was named Offensive Rookie of the Year over the weekend, and he's already thinking of ways to improve as the offseason begins.

Herbert will enter his second year in the league and hopefully have a traditional offseason with camps and OTAs. He said he has plans to reach out to some of the veteran quarterbacks around the league, including Drew Brees.

Via Josh Alper of ProFootballTalk:

“I plan on doing that,” Herbert said. “I was fortunate enough to be able to watch Drew throw this past offseason and he trains with a lot of guys that I do. . . . Drew is definitely one of the guys I plan to reach out to because he’s been able to do it all and everything he’s been able to accomplish I definitely want to do.”

Herbert was thrown into action mere minutes before the Week 2 game against the Kansas City Chiefs due to a bizarre injury to Tyrod Taylor, and he ran away with the job from that day on.

Learning from Brees is a great thing to do. The future Hall of Famer has been one of the best quarterbacks in the league for the past two decades and can show Herbert the ropes on how to be a quality quarterback in the league for years to come.
