Darrelle Revis and Richard Sherman are two of the best cornerbacks in recent NFL history. The two also don't seem to like each other very much, as they recently got into a Twitter spat over differences in style of play. Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen wants to get into the conversation.

In response to Revis calling out Sherman for playing in a Cover 3 scheme instead of a man-to-man one, Allen, who's played against both while with the Chargers, compliment both cornerbacks, said Allen on Twitter.

Allen also noted Revis' way of getting into his opposers' mind. He said when he went up to Revis and said “what’s up bro let’s get after it today,” he would not get a reply. Sherman, on the other hand, will talk to wide receivers, but he won't let them make a play, as the Chargers star wideout said.

Allen, in response to his original tweet, concluded that he would take a prime version of Revis “any day.” He said he could single-handily lock up an entire side of the field, which he did — spawning the nickname “Revis Island.” The Chargers wideout, however, that Sherman is a Hall of Fame talent “all day.”

The reality of the matter is that Revis and Sherman are different. One is a man-to-man cornerback; the other tends to play far more zone. However, each is a Hall of Fame-caliber player in their own right. At the end of the day, however, Sherman's abilities in zone make him a far better player in year nine than Revis was. That's why he'll be playing in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.
