Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen chimed in with his top five receivers after newly-acquired Buffalo Bills wideout Stefon Diggs asked his peers for their favorite receivers.

Allen named Randy Moss, Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, Calvin Johnson, and Larry Fitzgerald as his top five, a response that could hardly be argued by many.

Rice is regarded as perhaps the greatest football player ever, while Moss might be the most athletically gifted to ever grace the gridiron.

Although T.O. became as renowned for his antics and rambunctious character as his skills, he was one of the best receivers of an entire generation.

Whereas “Megatron” dominated the league and subsequently shocked football fans around the country by deciding to retire at the peak of his powers, Fitzgerald has been the picture of longevity at the wide receiver position.

Fitzgerald will be back for his 17th season in 2020, and he currently ranks second all-time in both receptions and receiving yards.

Allen can only hope to be mentioned among some of those greats, though he will line up without Philip Rivers as his quarterback for the first time in his career next season.

The 27-year-old was named to his third consecutive Pro Bowl team in 2019, hauling in a career-high 104 receptions for 1,199 yards and six touchdowns. But while Allen has emerged as one of the top wideouts in the NFL in recent years, he faces some uncertainty next season with former backup Tyrod Taylor currently looking like the starter in L.A.

Still, the Chargers re-signed most of their offensive weapons and upgraded the offensive line this spring, which might bode well for Allen and co. as they hope to rebound in 2020.
