The NFL is a breeding ground for trash talk of all kinds. Trash talk is particularly potent when there are two division rivals who are set to meet. The Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos are no different. Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen had some choice words for Broncos cornerback Chris Harris Jr, according to Eric Williams of ESPN.

“Now, y'all know damn well that boy can't hold my jockstrap. Stop it. Go watch the tape man. It's not a secret.” Allen said.

That's some pretty bold talk about one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL. Harris is a consistent presence in the Denver secondary, and a top 15 player at his position. The matchup is always a good one, as Allen takes 46% of his snaps from the slot, where Harris plays. The dynamic Chargers receiver has admittedly gotten the best of Harris recently, as he's tallied 153 yards and a touchdown in the two 2018 meetings between the teams.

While these are nice numbers for Allen, they don't include Week 5's stats. Allen managed a measly four catches for 18 yards, and the Broncos took home a win. Harris played well and deserves his respect after helping his team get their first victory.

Besides Week 5, Allen has been a thoroughly dominant player, and he should continue to be. The Chargers face a mediocre Pittsburgh Steelers defense. The Steelers are notorious for allowing slot receivers to run rampant, so expect another great game from Allen.
