The Los Angeles Chargers continue to add talent deep into the offseason. After initial reports linking them to free agent Kyle Van Noy, the Chargers have officially signed the Super Bowl-winning linebacker.

Van Noy shared a message for Chargers fans upon joining the squad. He said that he is excited to get to work with head coach Brandon Staley and the very talented group LA has.

The 31-year-old Van Noy won Super Bowls with the New England Patriots in 2016 and 2018. In 16 games with the Patriots last season, he recorded 66 combined tackles and 5.0 sacks with a career-high 10 passes defended. He has recorded at least 3.5 sacks in each of the last five seasons. Van Noy should be a solid addition alongside Joey Bosa and Khalil Mack.

The Chargers, after coming so close to the playoffs last season, have looked for plenty of upgrades. In addition to trading for Mack, they also brought in J.C. Jackson, Sebastian Joseph and Austin Johnson. LA should have a strong defense to complement their strong offense led by Justin Herbert.

Van Noy having extended postseason experience makes him a very strong addition. The Chargers are looking to compete in what could be the toughest division in recent memory. Having someone used to the big moments will be huge, even if he isn't the focal point of the defense.
