The Los Angeles Chargers are still undecided about their future at quarterback, but that could be subject to change in free agency. According to Bleacher Report's Mike Freeman, Los Angeles has been ‘attached' to Teddy Bridgewater in talks this offseason.

Nearly a week ago, it was confirmed that the Chargers won't bring back Philip Rivers in 2020. Rivers has started in every game for the Chargers since 2006 and won five playoff games in that span.

With the decision to move on from Rivers already being made, it's unclear the direction that Los Angeles will take at quarterback. Not long ago, head coach Anthony Lynn said on a radio interview that Tyrod Taylor could definitely get an opportunity to start next season.

At the same time, the Chargers are undoubtedly going to add another quarterback to the roster. Whether it be through the draft or in free agency remains to be the unanswered question.

If the Chargers choose to find his replacement in free agency, Bridgewater is definitely an option. Over the past two seasons, Bridgewater has spent his time as the backup to Drew Brees with the New Orleans Saints.

However, due to Brees dealing with a thumb ailment, Bridgewater started in five games in 2019. In those five starts, Bridgewater threw for 1,384 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions. Above all, the Saints went 5-0 with Bridgewater as the starter.

Even though his numbers weren't astronomical, Teddy Bridgewater is likely going to command a decent contract on the open market. In the event that Bridgewater leaves New Orleans, he could pull off a reverse of Brees; going from the Saints to the Chargers.
