The Los Angeles Chargers expect Melvin Gordon and Melvin Ingram to report to mandatory minicamp next week.

This was what Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn told NBC San Diego's Fernando Ramirez (via Pro Football Talk's Charean Williams) on June 3.

Melvin Gordon hasn't attended the Chargers' voluntary offseason workouts, but the running back told coach Anthony Lynn he will arrive Monday.

The team's mandatory minicamp begins next week.

“I forgot what he looks like,” Lynn joked, via Fernando Ramirez of NBC San Diego.

Lynn said defensive end Melvin Ingram also has promised his attendance next week. Ingram also has stayed away from the team's training facility this offseason.

Lynn told the Los Angeles Daily News' Gilbert Manzano on May 28 that “both of those guys are key members of our football team.” He also described Gordon and Ingram as “good players” who will “show up and be productive.”

Gordon and Ingram are the last two Chargers players who haven't reported for offseason workouts, per Manzano.

According to Williams, Gordon has been training with other NFL players in Florida. He is entering the final year of his rookie deal worth $5.6 million. Chargers GM Tom Telesco is looking forward to extending Gordon's contract with no set timetable in place.

Gordon's absence from OTA's has gotten plenty of attention because he's entering the last year of his rookie contract, per Manzano.

“The longer Gordon is away from the team, the more people start wondering about a potential contract holdout,” he wrote on May 28.

From all indications, the two Melvin's should be ready for Chargers mandatory minicamp which kicks off on June 11.
