There is a renewed sense of buzz around the Los Angeles Chargers following their strong finish to the 2017 season which led to a playoff spot. This has pushed over into this offseason with the Chargers adding more pieces to the puzzle to what has become a potentially promising roster.

This has led to Pro Bowl linebacker Melvin Ingram to make it clear what the team's aspirations are for the 2018 campaign with the focus set on winning Super Bowl 53, according to Herbie Teope of NFL.com.

“This Super Bowl, we're going to win,” Ingram told reporters Monday after Los Angeles' OTAs. “We haven't been to the playoffs in a while. I think it's going to be crazy. This Super Bowl, we're going to win, going to be, ‘Hey, we ready, we grinding.'

“We just going to keep grinding. We going to grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind, grind no matter what. And that's what our main objective goal is to win a Super Bowl, it's to win Super Bowl. Keep fighting, keep playing, keep grinding no matter what, and that's the goal. We've got to bring a Super Bowl to the city.”

The Chargers have put together a well-balanced roster on both sides of the ball that could put them in the position to compete for not a playoff spot. Ingram is a big part of their defensive game plan after coming off a highly productive campaign with 10.5 sacks that helped him earn his first Pro Bowl selection.

Los Angeles has returned much of the same roster while adding proven veterans to the mix to push them forward next season in what could be a breakout year and their first playoff appearance since 2013. It will have to come in the way of them getting past what should be a highly competitive AFC West that features three other teams that could each make a strong case to win the division in 2018.

Nonetheless, the bar has been set for the Chargers to make a significant push to becoming a legitimate threat in the AFC to win the Super Bowl.
