Former Carolina Panthers linebacker Thomas Davis has found a new home with the Los Angeles Chargers. As a result of switching coasts, the longtime NFL defender believes that he brings a tremendous amount of “veteran wisdom” with him to Los Angeles.

“When you look at this roster and the guys they have on this team and how well they play together, I just feel like I can come in and be an added piece, offer some veteran wisdom, veteran leadership and just really try to get these guys over the hump so I’m looking forward to being a part of this locker room,” Davis recently told NFL Network.

Previously spending his entire NFL career as a member of the Panthers, Davis will now provide the Chargers with yet another threat on the defensive side of the football. The Chargers are already talented while the addition of Davis will only enhance the team's expectations ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.

“I think expectations are high for this team, especially for this defense,” Davis added. “I just wanna come in and just do whatever they're gonna ask of me and make sure I do it at a high level and just really looking forward to getting this team over the hump.”

The Chargers are notably coming off an impressive campaign that resulted in a playoff berth and a second place finish in the AFC West standings. The upstart Chargers finished behind only the surging Kansas City Chiefs en route to clinching a wild card berth.
