On Monday, a slew of notable NFL players voiced their opinions regarding their respective ratings on the soon-to-be-released Madden 20 video game. Spoiler alert — just about everyone absolutely hated or disagreed with their rating in a major way — Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen included.

On Monday, Allen was dealt with an 89 overall rating while the veteran wideout has since decided to boycott the popular videogame altogether, so it seems.

The 27-year-old Allen has quickly become one of the league's best all-around wide receivers — when he is healthy, that is. Last season, Allen, who has spent his entire NFL playing career as a member of the Chargers, produced 97 receptions for 1,996 receiving yards and six touchdowns via the passing game.

Not only that, but the Chargers reached the postseason before being ousted from Super Bowl contention by the eventual champion New England — success that came in large part due to Allen's impact on the field. Perhaps another successful season with boost Allen's rating come next year.

It is also worth noting that only four NFL players in all were given a 99 overall rating this time around, which is the highest rating that a player can receive on Madden. Those four players are probably the only ones that don't have a score to settle with the videogame's creators as Seattle Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner, Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald, Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and Chicago Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack were the only players to be anointed the 99 overall rating.
