The Los Angeles Chargers have gotten well-acquainted with their neighbors during the joint week of practice with the Los Angeles Rams. It did not take long for wide receiver Keenan Allen to make his presence felt at training camp.

The starting units from each team have been taking part in light scrimmages. Allen managed to take advantage of the Rams' secondary with a filthy hesitation before making the catch, via the team's official Twitter:

Routes like these are why Allen has been able to establish himself as one of the NFL's premier route runners. He made it clear that he was not happy with his overall rating in Madden 20, and it seems he is still doing what he can to boost his stats around this time of year.

Unfortunately, Allen's work could be severely limited, moving forward. He was seen hobbling off the field under his power following a failed dive attempt at a catch during one of the drills. Head coach Anthony Lynn has already indicated that, like the Rams, the Chargers will be taking a cautious approach with their key players during the preseason.

Allen has served as quarterback Philip Rivers' go-to target in the passing game over the last two seasons, which has resulted in him earning consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl. Regardless, he still has much tom prove if he hopes to throw his name into the conversation of being considered an elite wideout.

Fortunately, he appears to be well on his way thanks to his talent and the efficient offensive system the Chargers have established in recent years.
