Chelsea continues to chase the signature of Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland, but the Bundesliga giants won't budge. With that in mind, the Blues have had to identify other possible striker targets, with Bayern Munich hitman Robert Lewandowski also on their radar.

According to Sport Bild, Chelsea has actually been in contact with Lewandowski's agent about a possible move:

Being interested is one thing, but actually contacting his agent is a huge step in the right direction. While Bayern is reluctant to sell the Pole, Chelsea still has a belief they can lure him away from the German capital.

Lewandowski has been one of the most lethal strikers on the planet across the last two seasons. In 2020/21, he broke a Bundesliga record after bagging 41 goals in just 29 league appearances.

Chelsea is planning to offer Dortmund around 150 million euros for Haaland, but there is still a high chance they won't be convinced to let go of their prized possession. Aside from Lewandowski, the Blues are also keeping tabs on Stuttgart youngster Sasa Kaladjzic, who scored 18 times last term.

Thomas Tuchel's side desperately needs a striker following Timo Werner's disappointing campaign at Stamford Bridge, with Haaland and Lewandowski thought to be their main targets. There's just over a month left in the summer transfer window which means Chelsea still have time to bolster their attacking ranks.
