The apparent rising tension between Romelu Lukaku and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel may not end up well.

Three weeks ago, Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku shockingly admitted in a controversial interview that he is “not very happy” with his situation at his current club. The said interview was published on Thursday and it didn't take long before Blues boss Thomas Tuchel commented on the subject.

According to Tuchel, he has no problem with Lukaku and if there's someone who should address the said interview, it should be Lukaku himself.

“[Just keep] training, training, playing,” Tuchel said of the matter via Football.london. “Training, playing, training, sleeping, eating good, training, playing, sleeping, eat good, drink a lot of water, sleep, train and don’t give interviews.”

“We have zero problem and, OK, he gave an interview so maybe he has a problem so he needs to speak up,” he pointed out. “I don’t have one.”

Shortly after Tuchel's statement, he made the decision to drop Lukaku for the English Premier League clash with Liverpool on Sunday, suggesting that the Belgian's future with Chelsea has become uncertain following the interview, per ESPN.

The report added that Chelsea was not aware that Lukaku had given such interview and Tuchel and his staff did not appreciate it. Lukaku is said to have no intention of “attempting to force a move away” from Stamford Bridge this winter, but it is yet to be determined “whether his punishment — which could yet be accompanied by a fine — prompts a change of heart.”
