It looks like the Chicago Bears are still feeling the ill effects of that missed field goal in last season's divisional round. After a 3-1 start, the Bears have dropped four in a row. Their offense has looked poor led by Mitch Trubisky and head coach Matt Nagy has not looked like the genius that everyone thought.

The Bears will host the Detroit Lions this week. It will be the first of two matchups in the span of four weeks for these two teams. It is safe to say that this is a must win game for the Bears. Here are three bold predictions for Chicago as they get set to take on the Lions.

3. Bears establish the run early

The Bears have not run the ball well this season. They are averaging just 80.5 yards per game on the ground which is near the bottom of the league. They traded away Jordan Howard and gave the bulk of the work to rookie David Montgomery. In his first season, Montgomery has rushed for 406 yards and is averaging 3.6 yards per rush.

On the other side, the Lions have not been strong against the run. Detroit has allowed 135.8 yards per game on the ground which is sixth worse in the league. With Trubisky struggling, it is important for the Bears to establish the run game. They will have a chance to do so against the Lions in this game.

2. Chicago snaps the losing streak

The Bears currently sit in the basement of the NFC North at 3-5. They are 3.5 games behind the Green Bay Packers who are at the top of the division. The Lions are percentage points ahead of the Bears because of their Week 1 tie. The Bears need to win this game and they will do so behind their strong defense.

the Lions are starting to come back down to Earth. They have lost four of their last five games against quality opponents. It is always tough playing two straight road games in the NFL and that is what Detroit is up against. All signs point to the Bears winning this game.

1. Trubisky goes for three scores

Trubisky has played in seven games this season, missing just one due to an injury. He has a touchdown pass in just two of them. Yes, that is correct. He threw three in Week 3 and two in Week 7, that's it. The Lions defense has been struggling so this is a good time for Trubisky to get his stats back up.

It does not matter how he gets them. Trubisky is a fine runner, some would say that is the best part of his game. whether it is on the ground or through the air, Trubisky will score three times in this game on his way to a win.
