The NFL decided to put together an All-Star crew of officials for Monday Night's game, Kansas City Chiefs coach Andy Reid was not too impressed with their performance after the game. It seems like almost every play there was a flag or two thrown and Reid was questioning a few of the calls.

“Too many penalties, a lot of penalties in the first quarter,” Reid said via Pro Football Talk. “I don’t know about those, but they called them, and so we were going backwards when we needed to go forward and you don’t want to put yourself in a hole like that. We had too many penalties. 13 penalties overall and I think eight of them were in the first quarter, so we’ve got to do a better job of that.”

One of the questionable penalties came on Tyreek Hill's long touchdown catch. As he was running into the end zone he flashed the peace sign at his defender, something he has done before many times and never been called for a penalty. The All-Star crew threw a flag on it which cost them 15 yards on the next kick off.

The Chiefs were flagged 13 times for 135 yards and eight times for 60 yards. It will be a story to watch if the NFL comes out and makes any comments about the All-Star crew. If this was the All-Star crew that doesn't really put a good light on the state of the referees across the NFL right now, and something that maybe should be looked into.
