The Kansas City Chiefs are looking to take another major step forward toward locking up the AFC West division title for a third consecutive season with a win in Thursday's matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

In the days heading into that game, there are questions concerning the health status of Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill regarding a foot issue that flared up in the 27-24 overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday afternoon. Head coach Andy Reid has chimed in on the situation by stating that he believes Hill will be able to play against the Chargers, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

“I’m sure he is sore this morning,” coach Andy Reid told reporters on Monday. “If I was a betting man I’d probably say that he plays. He loves to play the game.”

There are likely a few hurdles that Hill must get past first before that could become a certainty, as he would have to prove it on the practice field that he can give it a go. This should be a strong indication of where his health is heading into this week's action.

What may put him at a disadvantage is the fact that it is a short time frame for him to get ready to play as he will have just a day or two to get himself physically ready to go.

Hill has been a huge part of the Chiefs' offensive game plan as their primary target in the passing game. He is in the midst of a career-best campaign where he has 74 catches for 1,258 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Hill is currently second in the league in receiving yards, fourth in touchdowns, and has five 100 receiving yard performances.

If the Chiefs were to be without Hill for the contest, it would put more responsibility on tight end Travis Kelce, recently acquired wideout Kelvin Benjamin, Chris Conley, and Demarcus Robinson to pick up the slack in his absence.
