The Kansas City Chiefs are a dangerous team that's without his head. With Patrick Mahomes still looking to recover from his knee injury, Andy Reid has looked to backup quarterback Matt Moore as the starter in the defending MVP's stead.

Naturally, some fans are doubtful whether Moore can actually get the job done as they prepare to face a potent Minnesota Vikings team. However, the Chiefs head coach assured everyone that the team puts all of their trust in the seasoned QB.

Per Sam McDowell of the Kansas City Star:

“I don’t know him as well as maybe the other guys, but I liked what I saw. He goes about it the right way,” Reid said. “The players around him have confidence in him, which winds up being very important.”

The 11-year QB, who started his career with the Carolina Panthers, was thankful for the amount of support the team gave him.

“That's a huge deal and it means a lot,” Moore said of gaining his teammates' confidence, via NFL.com. “You can feel it. I can feel it. I think they can feel it. It just makes things go smoother. I think they know what the capabilities are. Everybody knows what the capabilities are, what we can do if we're all functioning on the same page. It makes everything work a little better with everybody being confident.”

He put on a battling performance against the Green Bay Packers. Even though the team lost, Moore was a solid passer with 267 passing yards and two touchdowns with no interceptions. Fans will naturally expect more of the same for him as they all wait for Mahomes' return.
