The coronavirus outbreak has made it tough on NFL teams to keep it business as usual, but that hasn't stopped the Kansas City Chiefs. Less than three weeks until the 2020 NFL Draft, Andy Reid revealed that he is doing his offseason work from his basement.

“I wish I could take you on a virtual tour of this thing,” Reid told reporters on Thursday. “It’s kind of classic. I’m sitting in my basement, literally, and I’ve got an arc trainer sitting here in case I want to jump on that to get a little exercise. I’ve got my monitor set up along with my computer and my iPad right next to that. I’ve got one of my wife’s antique tables here, a little coffee table, that I’m using to throw everything on. I’m in the basement, and you know what, it’s not bad.”

Since the coronavirus began to affect the NFL nearly a month ago, teams have been forced to remain at home. Instead of reporting to team facilities, players and coaches are having to find ways to keep focused on the upcoming season.

The active wave of free agency has passed, with Kansas City being inactive during it due to their financial restrictions. Following the beginning of free agency, the Chiefs are turning their attention to the 2020 NFL Draft.

For the Chiefs and Reid, they are coming off of their first Super Bowl victory since the 1969 season. Nevertheless, Reid isn't going to let the coronavirus prevent him from staying ahead of the curve. Even if that means being stuck in his basement for weeks or months.
