The Kansas City Chiefs managed to end a historic drought by punching their ticket to Super Bowl LIV. One o the biggest reasons for their success has been the emergence of wide receiver Tyreek Hill into one of the best players at his position.

Hill's transition into an NFL star has certainly not been an easy one both on and off the field. Head coach Andy Reid is happy with how much he has grown thus far in his career, via Kevin Patra of NFL.com:

“Tyreek’s done a nice job with having signed the contract but also his life off the field and managing that,” Reid said Wednesday. “I’m proud of him for that, to see growth in somebody. You like to see that with these young guys. He’s doing well as a father, and he’s doing well as a football player, and we’re lucky to have him.”

Hill made headlines in the offseason when he was suspended from team activities as a result of an ongoing child abuse investigation. Kansas City then caught plenty of flak for following it up with a lucrative three-year, $54 million extension after the NFL announced that he would not be disciplined.

Hill has since managed to establish himself as perhaps the most explosive weapon in the league thanks to his speed and skill set as a deep threat. Although he enjoyed modest production during the 2019 NFL season due to injuries, he has managed to kick things up a notch in the playoffs.

Another stellar performance from Hill in the Super Bowl would undoubtedly provide the Chiefs with plenty of bang for their buck as they continue to boast the most high-powered offense in the league.
