Andy Reid has been a head coach in the NFL since 1999, but he still does not have any Super Bowl titles to his name (as a head coach). But this year, he has what is perhaps the best opportunity of his career, as his Kansas City Chiefs will take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl on Feb. 2.

And if the Chiefs do get it done? Reid may want to start calling the No. 2 his lucky number.

Why?

Well, because it would be his 222nd career win, his second Super Bowl ring (he won a championship as a Green Bay Packers assistant back in the 1996-97 campaign) and it will come on Feb. 2, 2020, as CBS Sports notes on its Instagram account.

Of course, up until this point, Reid has been widely considered a playoff choker.

He spent the first 14 years of his head-coaching career at the helm for the Philadelphia Eagles, making nine playoff appearances but landing just one Super Bowl appearance, which ended in a loss to the New England Patriots during the 2004-05 season.

Reid also lost three straight NFC Championship Games in the early 2000s.

Following his lengthy stint in Philadelphia, Reid was hired as Chiefs head coach in 2013, and since then, he has led Kansas City to the postseason six times in seven years.

This marks his first Super Bowl appearances as a member of the Chiefs, and he will have the chance to rewrite his legacy if he can best Kyle Shanahan and the 49ers in a couple of weeks.
