The Kansas City Chiefs are arguably the best team in the NFL today. The Arizona Cardinals, on the other hand, are among the worst.
What happens when these two teams which are standing at opposite ends of the NFL spectrum does not look encouraging for the Cardinals, who, according to BetOnline.ag, are 16.5-point road underdogs in this coming Sunday’s meeting with Patrick Mahomes and company at Arrowhead Stadium.
It’s the largest spread (as a chalk or underdog) the Cardinals have been given this season. In the two games in which they were labeled as an underdog by at least 10 points this season, the Cardinals have gone 0-1-1. They failed to cover the 11-point spread on the road against the Los Angeles Rams in a 34-0 blowout loss back in Week 2. In the other contest, they managed a push as a 10-point underdog in a 27-17 road loss to the Minnesota Vikings back in Week 6.
As for the Chiefs, they have been among the most dependable favorites to bet on this season with a 4-1 record against the spread this season as the chalks.
Arizona is only 2-6 so far this season, but is riding some sort of momentum coming out of a bye after beating the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 8. The Chiefs are 8-1 and are on a three-game unbeaten streak.
