Bill Belichick's signature praises have come into play once again, and he always makes it a point to try and defuse the hype of the game by praising one of the opponents' top players. This week's recipient of the Belichick Boost is Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

According to Patriots Wire's Henry McKenna, Belichick calls Kelce one of the league's top receivers.

“Call Kelce whatever you want. He’s one of the best receivers in the league. He’s their leading receiver,” Belichick said during a press conference on Wednesday. “You can put him up against any receiver in the league and statistically he’ll match up against anyone you want to put him against over the last five years. So you can call him whatever you want to call him.”

The 30-year-old product from Cincinnati has been one of the team's best offensive playmakers and is a huge factor to some of their best results this season. Belichick then detailed Kelce's play style and how it helps him dominate his opponents.

“He’s good at everything,” Belichick said. “He’s big. He’s fast. He’s good after the catch. He does a really good job of gaining leverage on defenders. He also sets up a lot of other — creates space for players as well. He’s smart — very smart. Good at all of it. Hard guy to tackle when he gets the ball.”

While some may see this as a declaration of intent for the Patriots to sign him, it's definitely a tip of the hat to one of the league's most productive wideouts. Through 12 games, he's made 923 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
