Patrick Mahomes has had an eventful last 12 months and he received even more fantastic news on Tuesday. After leading the Kansas City Chiefs over the Baltimore Ravens on Monday, Brittany Matthews —Mahomes' fiancee — announced that she's pregnant on social media.

Seeing that Matthews is Patrick Mahomes' fiancee, both of them plan on getting married in the near future. Now, both of them are adding another member to their family ahead of their wedding.

The past year has been a whirlwind for Patrick Mahomes on and off of the field. Early in the 2019 season, the former NFL MVP suffered a leg injury that would cause him to miss two games for the Chiefs.

Nonetheless, he would still finish with 4,031 yards, 26 touchdowns, and five interceptions during the regular season. Above all, he would lead the Chiefs to a first-round bye in the postseason and helped them advance to the Super Bowl.

Back in February, Patrick Mahomes won Super Bowl MVP honors as Kansas City secured their first Super Bowl win since the 1969 season. The Texas Tech product would become the youngest player in NFL history to win NFL MVP and Super Bowl MVP at 24 years old for the Chiefs.

Then, after celebrating the Super Bowl victory in the offseason, Patrick Mahomes signed a historic 10-year extension worth $503 million. One of his first purchases after signing his new contract was an ownership stake in the Kansas City Royals MLB team.

To begin the 2020 season, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs sit at 3-0 and are poised to defend their crown as the reigning Super Bowl champions. While Mahomes maintains his focus on repeating, congrats are in order for the gifted signal-caller.
