The Kansas City Chiefs' defense has a chance to gain an impact player in NFL free agency this year. Denver Broncos star cornerback Chris Harris is set to become a free agent this offseason, and the 30-year-old defensive back mentioned the Chiefs as a ‘good fit' during an interview on The Rich Eisen Show.

“I’m going to listen to everybody, man,” Harris said  “I’m listening to everybody for sure. I mean, Kansas, I went to school there, so that’s like another home for me.”

In his four years at Kansas University, Harris compiled 198 tackles, 16 tackles for a loss, and three interceptions while also being a part of the famous 2007 12-1 Jayhawks team.

“[I have] a big following there so I’m definitely looking at everybody but like you said, I mean, I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a good fit.”

In the NFL, Harris has proved himself as one of the games' best cornerbacks. The 5-foot-10 corner has spent his entire nine-year pro career with the Broncos where he has been named to four Pro Bowl

The veteran defensive back continued to be a gamechanger for Denver this season. Harris helped the Broncos put out the 11th best pass defense in the NFL and recorded 56 tackles, six pass deflections, and one interception.

The Chiefs defense made a major jump in 2019. Featuring talents such as Tyrann Mathieu, Juan Thornhill, Frank Clark, and Chris Jones, the addition of Harris may help the team over the hump they've been trying to get over for the past few seasons.
