Not that this comes as much of a surprise, but the Kansas City Chiefs will be without safety Eric Berry and running back Spencer Ware in their Divisional Round matchup against the Indianapolis Colts on Saturday, according to Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star.

Berry played in just two games this season after recovering from a torn Achilles that limited him to just one contest in 2017. He returned for the Chiefs' Week 15 game against the Los Angeles Chargers and also proceeded to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 16, but ended up re-aggravating the Achilles issue and did not play during the season finale.

The 30-year-old has not played a full season since 2016, when he racked up 77 tackles, four interceptions, nine passes defended, and two defensive touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.

Berry has made five trips to Honolulu while earning First-Team All-Pro honors three times in his NFL tenure, a career that has been littered with injuries and a battle with cancer.

As a matter of fact, in nine NFL campaigns, Berry has played six games or less four times, essentially missing three whole seasons.

Ware has been sidelined since Week 14 with both hamstring and shoulder injuries.

On the year, Ware rushed for 246 yards and a couple of touchdowns while averaging 4.8 yards per carry. In addition, he hauled in 20 receptions for 224 yards.

The 27-year-old has dealt with injuries before, missing the entire 2017 campaign due to a torn PCL.

The Chiefs won 12 games on the year to capture the AFC West title and lock down the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
