Sometimes, the heart wants what it wants. After a Kansas City Chiefs touchdown in a divisional round win over the Houston Texans, Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher snatched a couple of beers from the rowdy fans at Arrowhead Stadium. He then dumped those beers over his own helmet. The NFL did not like that.

On Saturday, the NFL officially announced a $14,037 for the celebration, calling it unsportsmanlike conduct, according to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network.

Fisher's beer dump got some serious air time. Why wouldn't it? Fisher was pumped up. He furiously shook the can and poured it over his head as if he thought he was at the fraternity house rather than an NFL playoff game.

I can't blame Fisher for his actions. The Chiefs weren't supposed to be at the point where they were winning that game. However, thanks to the Texans squandering a 24-0 lead early, Kansas City won by 20 in a game that one fanbase will remember fondly and the other, well, not so much.

For what it's worth, Budlight noticed the fine and decided to take actions in their own hands. In response to the announcement on the fan, they graciously wrote a check of the same amount to be donated to the charity of Fisher's choice.

I'd say partying in the middle of an NFL game was worth it.

On Sunday, Fisher and the Chiefs will host the Tennessee Titans in the AFC Championship. The winner moves on to the Super Bowl. If Kansas City wins, there will be plenty of beer spilled.
