Kansas City Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher, is a “long-shot” to play against the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Fisher previously injured his groin during Friday's practice, via SB Nation:

“Fish hurt his groin here just a little bit here,” said head coach Andy Reid. “They’re going to take a peek at that, see how he is doing… I’m just going to see how it checks out. We took him out when he hurt it.”

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, Fisher has started in 91 of his 95 games played for Kansas City. The last time he missed a game was in late 2017, when the Chiefs rested most of their starters due to locked-in playoff positioning. In 2018, the 28-year-old made the first Pro Bowl of his career.

In Week 1, against the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Chiefs' offensive line held a stout defense without a sack. However, the Jaguars did tally four quarterback hits on Patrick Mahomes, including one where he rolled his ankle in which he released the ball, fumbled it, only to see Fisher recover it.

It's unknown who plays left tackle if Fisher isn't available to play. The case is Cam Irving, who is slated as the backup swing tackle on the depth chart. Andrew Wylie could be an option, but that would force Irving to play guard.

If injured, missing Fisher would be another big blow to a Chiefs offense with wide receiver Tyreek Hill already out. Luckily, the quarterback conducting the offense isn't too shabby.
