The injuries continue to pile up for the Kansas City Chiefs; their latest addition is Frank Clark. According to Ian Rapoport, Clark is considered week-to-week with a neck injury.

Clark has apparently been playing through the neck injury for quite some time. The Chiefs have already ruled him out for Week 8 and he could miss more than that.

Ahead of this year's draft, Kansas City acquired Clark from the Seattle Seahawks for a 2019 first-round pick, 2019 third-round pick, and a 2020 second-round pick. Immediately after trading for him, the Chiefs signed Clark to a five-year, $105.5 million contract.

At the time, the deal made Clark the second-highest-paid defensive end in the NFL. The only player who had a larger contract was Demarcus Lawrence of the Dallas Cowboys.

Through the first seven weeks, the Chiefs' offseason acquisition has totaled 17 tackles, three sacks, four hits on the quarterback, two forced fumbles, and an interception. Clark is coming off of his best game in Week 7 against the Denver Broncos.

In that game, the versatile defensive end accumulated five tackles, two sacks, and a forced fumble. Clark and the defense helped Kansas City secure a 30-6 victory despite Patrick Mahomes making an early exit.

Aside from Clark, the Chiefs are also going to be without Mahomes, Eric Fisher, and Chris Jones on Sunday night against the Packers. The Chiefs believe that Mahomes will be back by Week 10 against the Tennessee Titans.

As for Clark, Kansas City is going to give the handsomely-paid pass rusher time to recover from his neck injury.
