The Tyreek Hill situation keeps taking one twist after another.

According to Terez Paylor of Yahoo Sports, the Kansas City Chiefs may actually re-engage Hill in contract extension negotiations in the “not-to-distant future.”

This comes on the heels of a meeting Hill had with the NFL on Wednesday, in which Hill had an eight-hour interview to discuss child abuse allegations that were made against him earlier this offseason.

Back in March, Hill was investigated for battery after an incident in which his three-year-old son broke his arm. The child was then removed from the home of Hill and his fiancee.

Later on in the investigation, an audio clip surfaced that revealed Hill telling his fiance that “you ought to be terrified of me” when she pressed him asking him what had happened to their son.

However, earlier this month, the case against Hill was ruled no longer active, as medical investigators concluded that Hill's son had broken his arm while bracing for a fall and not from abuse.

Still, due to the audio, Hill may face a suspension from the NFL, although Paylor's report says that the meeting between the wide receiver and the NFL was “positive.”

Hill is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he hauled in 87 receptions for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

The 25-year-old, who played his collegiate football at West Alabama, was originally selected by the Chiefs in the fifth round (165th pick overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.

He has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first three NFL seasons.
