The Kansas City Chiefs went toe-to-toe offensively with the Buffalo Bills last week. While it was a spectator's dream seeing touchdowns rain in the game's final minutes, it also emphasized just how badly the Chiefs missed Tyrann Mathieu.

The Chiefs' All-Pro safety was taken out on the game's opening drive and immediately placed into concussion protocol, which put a cloud of uncertainty on his availability for the AFC title game against the Bengals.

But it looks as though there's nothing to worry about for Chiefs have officially removed Tyrann Mathieu from the injured list and now have him fully cleared from concussion protocol, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

Getting Mathieu back is a massive boon for the Chiefs defensively. The Bengals are at their best when they're creating big plays in the air with Joe Burrow finding Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins for heavy yardage.

While it'll be tough to completely stifle their attack, having Tyrann Mathieu back in their secondary certainly makes it a lot tougher.

The Chiefs clearly have the upper hand in the AFC title game. But with an offense that's as explosive as Cincinnati's is, Kansas City having one of its best defenders back could be the difference.
